Podcast #111 | Suzanne Brown: The NYSE Board Diversity Initiative.

In episode #111 of the Boardroom Governance Podcast, Evan Epstein talks with Suzanne Brown, from the NYSE.

They discuss the NYSE Board Diversity Initiative and their efforts to place more diverse candidates on public and private company boards. In one year, Suzanne grew the candidate network from 200 to 700 CEO-vetted, diverse candidates and has helped place close to 40 candidates on corporate boards.

They also address NYSE's ESG programs, including the NYSE Board Advisory Council, the ESG backlash, board dynamics (particularly generational shifts), and progress on board diversity.

They further tackle the state of the markets and other governance trends, including board evaluations and demand for directors with expertise on global supply chains, cybersecurity, climate change, and more.
